PONAR S.A. – the main manufacturer of hydraulic control components and systems in Poland – it has developed and improved its products for forty years. Experienced staff, modern machinery and the many years’ cooperation with customers such as for example CATERPILLAR or BOSCH- REXROTH ensure the high, stable product quality.

PONAR S.A. offer includes also hydraulic control blocks. We offer you blocks:
  • for building-in by the Customer,
  • complete, equipped with build-in self-made apparatus,
  • with hydraulic apparatus of other manufacturers in accordance with Customer’s individual requirements.
PONAR S.A. offers you also individual manufacturing of control blocks adapted to individual needs of the Customers.

We have the following resources:
  1. Designing
    • highly-qualifies designer staff:
      - hydraulic control systems,
      - housing and component structures,
      - housing and component manufacturing technologies
    • Computer aided designing workstations with SOLID EDGE software, version 16 – 10 workstations
  2. Manufacturing and measurements
    • Experienced staff
    • Appropriate machines for manufacturing of housing and other components:
      - NC working centers: MORI SEIKI, KOVOSVIT MAS and HP4, HELLER with replaceable pallets – control in three axis
      - lathes: INDEX, TRAUB, GILDEMEISTER, MORI SEIKI,
      - SUNNEN, NAGEL for hole grinding-in
      - internal grinders: VOUMARD CNC
      - plunger grinders: STUDER CNC, T’SCHUDIN, HELITRONIC POWER
      - ZEISS coordinate measuring machine
The valve blocks are designed on the base of input data prepared according to the requirements of the Customer.
The realization takes place in three stages:
  1. Designing of hydraulic control diagram with selection of component types.
    Equipment mechanics data are the base – speed, force, torque etc. and work algorithm of the individual components.
    The special attention is paid to the optimization of:
    • working parameters (e.g., power input, hydraulic losses),
    • system size and weights (e.g., application of cartridge hydraulics components, if they can replace the classical hydraulics),
    • prices,
    • realization times (by selection of components available on the market at short delivery times).
  2. Valve block housing designing. On the base of a hydraulic diagram and component type specification, building-in requirements (dimensional limits, directions and types of inputs/outputs, component locations etc.), we design the valve block housing structure comprising:
    • terminals/component seats, inputs/outputs,
    • connections between components and inputs/outputs,
    • executive requirements,
    • type of material, chemical treatment or protective coating
  3. Designing of valve block manufacturing technology. The design includes specifications of machines, tools and block housing machining parameters. The assembly and technical acceptance requirements are respected.
The designing process may be started at any stage so that the designing parameters can be optimized (e.g., diagram changes, selection of other apparatus types, housing structure type change etc.).

Manufacturing of valve blocks
The valve blocks are manufactured in accordance with technology design worked out by PONAR S.A. The process parameters are kept regardless the lot size. The in-process checks and the final check eliminate any defects.
Our valve blocks are manufactured in accordance with the Quality Management System implemented in 1998 which complies – after the recertification - with ISO 9001:2001.
