BGŻ BNP Paribas invests in PONAR
The intensive development of PONAR Silesia S.A. resulted in attracting a minority investor. Bank BGŻ BNP Paribas Polska S.A., belonging to the BNP Paribas group, one of the world’s largest financial institutions. In compliance with the implemented policy, BNP Paribas Group, within the scope of Capital Development invests in minority stakes of growing companies and its portfolio encompasses today over 300 international projects.

PONAR Group is the leading producer of oil hydraulics, with 50 years of experience in the market. The company is a comprehensive and reliable partner in designing, production, maintenance of oil hydraulic systems, including hydraulic drives and controls, filtration and oil maintenance. PONAR products find multiple applications in Poland and abroad, including mining, defense industry, aviation, energy production, iron&steel industry, machinery industry, off shore industry, transportation, chemical industry or renewable energy. In total, PONAR Group employs more than 500 people.
The company for several years has been a certified platinum supplier of oil hydraulic elements to Caterpillar – one of the largest producer of construction and mining machinery. PONAR Group operates in compliance to the standards: ISO 14001:2004, ISO 9001:2008, EMAS PL 2.12-006-41 and ATEX 0067. At the end of last year, the company was among the finalists of the prestigious competition Local Future Leaders, branded by the Think Tank POLAND, GO GLOBAL and NCBiR as a company with high development potential at the domestic and international markets.
