March 14, 2025, is a special date in the history of our company. On this day, we began the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of PONAR Wadowice.
It is hard to believe that so much time has passed since the production of hydraulic equipment began in a small building on Mickiewicza Street. Looking at old photographs and seeing the modest factory on the outskirts of Wadowice, it is difficult to imagine that it would eventually evolve into a huge, modern facility and become the leading manufacturer of hydraulic equipment in Poland, a company synonymous with quality and innovation, present in every industry sector and contributing to improving the safety of our country.
The anniversary celebrations took place at the Wadowice Cultural Center and gathered many guests, including representatives of provincial and local authorities, uniformed services, as well as friends and employees of the company.
The event was opened by Marta Bizoń, an actress and theater artist from Wadowice, who presented the history of the company and welcomed the invited guests. Among those who honored us with their presence were: Krzysztof Jan Klęczar – Małopolska Voivode, Bartosz Kaliński – Mayor of Wadowice, Mirosław Sordyl – Wadowice County Governor. Also present were guests from Silesia, such as Aleksandra Wyra – Mayor of Łaziska Górne, Jarosław Sworzeń, Deputy Starost of Mikołów, and Monika Piórecka-Karolak – Head of the Department of Architecture at the Mikołów County Office. Other attendees included: Marek Skoczylas – Head of the Prevention Department at the Wadowice County Police Headquarters, Piotr Wyrobiec – Director of the Wadowice Cultural Center, as well as representatives from the Wadowice Business Group – Mariusz Jasiński, Katarzyna Przybył-Tamowicz – President of the Board of the Campus Bemke Foundation, and members of the Supervisory Board and Shareholders.
Marek Warzecha, President of the Management Board of PONAR Wadowice, summarized the company’s achievements and activities and presented ambitious plans for the future. In his speech, he emphasized that the company’s success is the result of the work of many generations and that the most important asset of the company is the people who create it.
During the ceremony, the premiere of the film “PONAR Wadowice - 60 years of Memories” took place, featuring both current and retired employees. In their stories, they shared the history of our plant – from its beginnings, through the challenging years of the political transformation, to the present day, highlighting the potential and modernity of our factory, which has grown from a small workshop into the largest Polish producer of hydraulic equipment.
During the event, special thanks were given to employees with the longest tenure. People who contributed to the creation of the film and the commemorative album showcasing the company’s history were also honored.
After the diplomas were handed out, the invited guests took the floor. The first speaker was Krzysztof Klęczar, the Małopolska Voivode, who, on behalf of the Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, presented the President with a congratulatory letter and assured that the Minister would soon visit our plant. Speeches were also given by: Mayor of Wadowice, Bartosz Kaliński, Wadowice County Governor Mirosław Sordyl, Mayor of Łaziska Górne Aleksander Wyra, Deputy Starost of Mikołów Jarosław Sworzeń, and Director of the Wadowice Cultural Center, Piotr Wyrobiec. All congratulated the President and employees and wished success in realizing further development plans.
The anniversary celebration was enhanced by a concert by Robert Janowski, a well-known Polish vocalist and theatrical artist.
We thank everyone who celebrated this special day with us. The 60th anniversary is not only a summary of our past achievements but also a motivation for further development and for building the future together.
We warmly invite you to view the photographs from this event.
