PONAR Wadowice S.A. has signed an agreement for the implementation of a project 'Diversification of the Plant's activities through the construction of a low-emission Production Center for Drives, Controls, and Special Purpose Systems,' co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Silesia 2021-2027 (Just Transition Fund).

We have signed an agreement for the implementation of a project funded by the EU under the European Funds for Silesia 2021-2027 program

The objective of the undertaking is the diversification of the Company's activities through the expansion of the existing plant and the creation of modern production infrastructure. This facility will implement entirely new, innovative solutions in the field of drives, controls, and hydraulic systems for industrial sectors other than mining. The project’s implementation will enable not only production growth but also the efficient and sustainable design of new solutions. The company's portfolio will be expanded to include completely new products.

The project includes:

  • The construction of a new production and warehouse hall with social, office, and testing facilities, including the purchase of, among others, research and test benches, machinery, overhead cranes, systems, and equipment;

  • A photovoltaic installation with a capacity of approx. 100 kWp;

  • The installation of small wind power plants – a set of 4 units with a total capacity of approx. 40 kWp;

  • An energy storage system with a total capacity of 1 MW.

The newly established Production Center for Drives, Controls, and Special Purpose Systems will contribute to increased employment and the strengthening of the company's technological potential. The use of renewable energy sources will allow for the reduction of emissions and the development of pro-ecological technologies, thereby supporting the improvement of the natural environment.

Products manufactured within the new infrastructure will be directed to enterprises in the machinery, energy, automotive, defense, aerospace, and shipbuilding sectors, as well as the hydrotechnical industry (including managers of dams, canals, and locks, and companies executing hydrotechnical investments). Regardless of size or scale of operations, customers primarily expect reliability, the highest quality, timely delivery, and professional after-sales service—the ongoing project will allow us to respond even better to these needs.
