PONAR Wadowice S.A. and the Kramatorsk Heavy Machine Tool Plant (KZVV) have established a Polish-Ukrainian joint venture, PK MIL S.A., which will work to strengthen the European defense industry and implement the priorities of the ReArm Europe initiative.
The company’s objective is the production of 155 mm NATO-standard artillery systems, including the "Bohdana" self-propelled howitzer and the "Bohdana-BG" towed howitzer. The project will be carried out based on European production capacities and close industrial cooperation between Poland and Ukraine.
PK MIL S.A. is part of the PONAR Wadowice Group, with PONAR Wadowice S.A. holding a majority stake of 51% in the company. This provides PK MIL S.A. with a stable capital, technological, and organizational foundation, and enables the effective utilization of the PONAR Wadowice Group’s competencies in executing projects for the defense sector.
The establishment of PK MIL S.A. is a response to the growing demand for proven, reliable, and scalable artillery systems. The new company will enable increased production capacities, shortened supply chains, and more effective coordination of activities within the defense sector.
