PONAR Wadowice S.A. with PLN 15.4 million in funding from the Just Transition Fund.

The funds will be allocated to the project “Diversification of the Plant’s Activities through the construction of a low-emission Center for the Production of Drives, Controls, and Special Purpose Systems.”

“This is a very important investment for us, and the funds we've acquired will help increase our production capabilities, create new jobs, and strengthen PONAR Wadowice's position as a leader in the power hydraulics industry in the region,” said Krzysztof Grochowski, Branch Director in Łaziska Górne.

Thanks to the grant, we plan to build a modern, low-emission production hall at the PONAR Wadowice Silesian branch in Łaziska Górne. It will be powered by renewable energy sources and equipped with automated and robotic production stations. For this new investment, we have planned the digitization of technological processes and will use artificial intelligence in selected areas.

“After many years of intensive R&D on innovative solutions for special-purpose machinery and equipment, the time has come to implement these results and launch large-scale production. The funding we've received will allow us to increase our production capabilities for systems, components, and subassemblies for the defense industry, among others. The project is proof that the competencies and experience gained from working for the mining sector can be successfully applied to new areas like defense, and that the transformation of the Silesian region is possible,” said Piotr Rosikowski, Director of Technology and Development.
