EU-funded projects under implementation

PONAR Wadowice S.A. is implementing the project entitled “Diversification of Company Operations through the Construction of a Low-Emission Production Centre for Drives, Controls, and Special-Purpose Systems“, co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Silesia 2021–2027 Programme (Just Transition Fund).
The objective of the project is to diversify the business operations of PONAR Wadowice S.A.
As part of the project, the existing plant will be expanded with new infrastructure to enable the production rollout of entirely new, innovative drive, control, and hydraulic system solutions for non-mining industrial sectors. In addition to manufacturing, the creation of this infrastructure will allow for the efficient and sustainable design of these solutions. The Beneficiary’s product portfolio will be expanded to include entirely new products.
The project involves establishing a Production Centre for Drives, Controls, and Special-Purpose Systems, as well as purchasing fixed assets and installing renewable energy source (RES) technology, including:
- Construction of a new production and warehouse hall with office, social, and testing facilities, including the procurement of test rigs and benches, machinery, overhead cranes, systems, and equipment;
- Installation of a photovoltaic (PV) system with a capacity of approximately 100 kWp;
- Installation of small wind turbines — a set of 4 wind turbines with a total capacity of approximately 40 kWp;
- An energy storage system with a total capacity of 1 MW.
The newly created infrastructure will also enable an increase in employment. The renewable energy installations will support the implementation of emission reduction measures and the development of eco-friendly technologies, ultimately contributing to environmental improvement.
The target customer groups for the Company’s products will primarily comprise enterprises operating in the machinery engineering sector, energy industry, automotive industry, defence sector, aerospace sector, shipbuilding sector, and hydrotechnical engineering sector (including managers of dams, canals, and locks, as well as operators and constructors of hydrotechnical installations). While potential clients vary in size, scale, and financial resources, their requirements remain consistent: high reliability, premium quality, swift turnaround times, and reliable after-sales service.
