R&D Centre in Łaziska Górne
The Research and Development Centre of PONAR Wadowice S.A. in Łaziska Górne deals with the development and testing of technologies used in power hydraulics systems and installations.
The R&D Centre features excellently equipped, modern technical facilities that enable testing, analysis, and measurement of the operating parameters of individual components and devices. The Centre includes, among other things, a test rig for actuators and a hydraulic systems dynamometer, which enables the recovery of energy consumed during testing.
Research is also carried out at the Centre concerning the operating parameters of various types of hydraulic actuators. The technological capabilities of the test rig allow for testing under loads reaching up to 70 tonnes.
The plant also houses a specialist oil cleanliness testing laboratory, where detailed analyses of filtration efficiency and operational tests of individual filter elements in hydraulic systems are conducted. Analyses include the degree of oil contamination by solid and water impurities, as well as the performance of filter inserts and filtration stations.
High-Pressure Water Systems
A separate area of activity for the R&D Centre in Łaziska Górne is the development of ultra-high pressure (UHP) water technology systems. Performance tests of such systems and power units are carried out at the plant. Research is also conducted into the possibilities of cleaning or cutting (including cleaning extremely hard deposits) using a high-pressure water jet. The Centre also tests the applicability of UHP technology to the hydrodynamic hydrodemolition of concrete using a lance and the possibilities of brown coal hydro-mining. PONAR Wadowice S.A. cooperates in this regard with leading companies in the mining sector as part of the HydroCoal Plus programme.
Robotisation and Automation of Processes
Technologies controlling the operation of hydraulic power units and systems are developed at the Centre, enabling efficient control of device operation, collection of data regarding operating parameters, and remote or automatic device control. As part of the R&D Centre’s activities, specialised controllers, computer software, interfaces, and databases are created. All work carried out in this area is designed to ensure easy, efficient, and failure-free operation of the device.
