R&D Centre Structure

The Centre consists of Research and Development Departments (R&D Departments) located in individual plants, dealing with the design of power hydraulics elements and systems as well as high-pressure water systems.

Four main R&D areas

The most important areas of research and development at PONAR Wadowice S.A. focus around three main product groups: power hydraulics elements and components, hydraulic systems and circuits, and high-pressure water systems. Research work mainly concerns the development of a new product or the acquisition of knowledge that will lead to innovation or the development of an improved product. Since these innovations are often a response to customers’ needs, the company also provides research services for external customers. The individual stages of research and development work are carried out at dedicated test rigs located in the company’s individual plants.

Hydraulic Elements R&D Department

The plant in Wadowice specialises in the production and design of power hydraulics elements – research work at the plant mainly concerns the development of new functional variants, improving the operating parameters of devices, and increasing their reliability and durability in harsh environmental conditions. For this purpose, in addition to the latest technologies, advanced software enabling flow design inside the device is used. The plant in Wadowice also features test rigs for hydraulic pumps, blocks, and distributor sections, as well as special chambers for testing the impact of temperature on device operation.

Hydraulic Systems R&D Department

Łaziska Górne is home to a plant specialising in the production of hydraulic systems of varying degrees of complexity and a wide range of operating parameters. Research concerning drives and hydrostatic systems, actuator operation, and new UHP technologies is carried out in Łaziska Górne. The Research and Development Centre is equipped with a hydraulic dynamometer and test rigs for actuators, valve assemblies, as well as for testing oil cleanliness and filtration efficiency. The Centre also deals with the automation and robotisation of processes related to the operation of hydraulic systems, and develops modern technologies used, inter alia, in mining, shipbuilding, aviation, and the offshore industry.

High-Pressure Water Systems R&D Department

Apart from standard hydraulic systems, our company offers modular, specialised solutions in the field of ultra-high pressure (UHP) water technology. The dedicated Research and Development Department deals with the development of these technologies for various industries.

Hydraulic Drives R&D Department

The Hydraulic Drives Department at the Research and Development Centre of PONAR Wadowice S.A. focuses on conducting R&D work aimed at developing innovative products such as motors, pumps, large-scale actuators, and rotary actuators.
