The solution designed for the 155 mm self-propelled howitzer includes a hydraulic-pneumatic cylinder serving as a balancing
mechanism and a hydraulic brake. The balancing mechanism effectively compensates for torque caused by the barrel
mass, ensuring highly stable gun elevation system operation.
Simultaneously, the integrated hydraulic brake limits the inertia force impact of the elevating mass, boosting both the accuracy and safety of the elevating process. An integral element of this entire setup is a hydraulic power unit responsible for supplying fluid at the required pressure and flow rate, guaranteeing reliable continuous performance of all key actuators.
