Pressure test rig

We are a reliable partner in the field of design and production of hydraulic systems.

For a client operating in the energy industry, we designed a pressure testing bench enabling leak testing of pipelines.

Leak testing of steel and PE pipes is carried out using:

• water method – up to 140 bar
• air method – up to 40 bar.

Tests are carried out in two stages:

• stage 1 – non-destructive testing, involving the recording of an acoustic signal during a simulated gas leak
• stage 2 – destructive testing, during which the plasticity of the analyzed material is observed. This test is performed at two pressure levels.

The test bench allows for a fast change of the working medium loading the sample.

The main element of the pressure testing bench is a frame on which the following are mounted: an opening enclosure with glazing, a test bath, an adjustable pipe support system, a control panel, a 200 dm³ supply tank for the water circuit with instrumentation, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for supplying the test chamber, and a piston compressor with a 200–300 dm³ tank complete with instrumentation.
