Hydraulic system for welding dished ends to the shells of pressure tanks

The designed hydraulic system is used for welding dished ends with the shells of pressure tanks in an automatic cycle.

Description of the device operation: the machine operator inserts the dished ends and the shell into the equipment, whereupon preliminary tacking and actual welding take place in an automatic cycle using automatic welding machines.

Hydraulics is used to execute the automatic cycle—clamping the dished ends, pressing them into the shell, moving the automatic welding machines, and transferring the pre-tacked tanks to the welding station.

Basic technical parameters:

– tank capacity                                                                 – 250 dm3

– piston pump (main) displacement                          – 28 cm3/rev.

– pump (main) motor power                                                 – 22 kW

Four control blocks are mounted on the power unit, fed by separate 2 FRM10 flow control valves. The blocks are equipped with:
– 4WE6 type directional control valves,
– USAB6 type proportional directional control valves,
– UZCR6 type pressure reducing valves and WZZC6 type proportional pressure reducing valves,
– Z2S6 and UZSB6 type pilot-operated check valves,
– Z2FS6 type throttle check valves.

Oil cooling and filtration take place in an off-line (bypass) circuit. A gear pump delivers oil through an air cooler and filter, after which the oil returns to the tank.
