PONAR on mission to Vietnam
Vietnam, next to China, is one of the largest mining markets of Asia, a country with a projected surge of importance of mining industry, resulting in an increase of demand for modern mining machinery and equipment.
Coal is considered the main power source in the country. Up till 2012, the domestic coal production was meeting the needs. Nowodays, about 50% of coal have to be imported. The authorities expect the demand for this raw material to rise rapidly in 2016.
In mission to Vietnam, on 19-25 October, organized by Polish Mining Consortium participated sixteen companies, including PONAR Wadowice.
During the four-day visit aimed at promotion of Polish mining machinery, equipment and services, the participants held numerous meetings, conferences and visits to mines. The entrepreneurs were accompanied by the expert in the mining industry, Mr Piotr Czaja of AGH Kraków. Mission to Vietnam is yet another of the events organized by PONAR Group within the EU project “Promotion of Polish Economy on International Markets”, Submeasure 6.5.2.
